Democracy, Money, Politics & Sports

Democracy: government by the people; rule of the majority.
When you take that definition, combine it with what Don Lucchesi (Godfather III) said, "Money is the gun. Politics is when to pull the trigger," and think about the NBA Lockout, the probability of an MLB lockout, the possibility of ANOTHER cancelled World Series, the umpires planning on walking out, OR Ryan Leaf isn't your next thought, M.A.H.F.I.A.?
The sports world started as a dictatorship. When the players got their act together by forming unions, the sports world's form of government became an aristocracy. During the past decade, the sports world has become an plutocracy. The time is now for WeTheFans to get our act together and make the sports world a true democracy!
Since we live in a democracy and have the Rights of "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness," what's wrong with having ALL of the decisions being made by only two parties? "Article V" of the Constitution of the United Stated has it set up where it's a done deal, "...whenever two thirds...", says it is. In the sports world, how can you ever have "two thirds" agree when "one third" is always absent? Well, Article V aside, thank God for the Freedom of the First Amendment, the Expression of the Internet, and the Voice of the Vote which provide all the "REAL POWER" WeTheFans need to make a REAL change.
